Frances Payne1

     Frances Payne was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Payne and Sarah Andrews.1 She married, firstly, George Compton, 6th Earl of Northampton, son of George Compton, 4th Earl of Northampton and Jane Fox, on 5 March 1748.2 She married, secondly, Claudius Amyand on 26 November 1761.2 She died on 25 December 1800.1
     From 5 March 1748, her married name became Compton. After her marriage, Frances Payne was styled as Countess of Northampton on 3 October 1754. From 26 November 1761, her married name became Amyand.
