     Baudouin II van Vlaanderen, Comte de Hainaut was born circa 1056. He was the son of Baldwinus VI Graaf van Vlaanderen and Richilde, Comtesse de Hainaut.1 He married Ida van Louvain, daughter of Henri II, Comte de Louvain and Adèle de Bettau, in 1084. He died in 1098, while on Crusade.
     He succeeded as the Comte de Hainaut in 1071.1
