Rachel Wood1

     Rachel Wood was the daughter of Sir Mark Wood, 1st Bt.1 She married William Joseph Lockwood, son of William Joseph Lockwood and Elizabeth Jekyll, on 13 June 1816.1 She died in 1874.1
     From 13 June 1816, her married name became Lockwood.1

     Blandine Marie Desmons is the daughter of Roger Desmons.2 She married Hon. Harold Francis Charteris, son of Lt.-Col. Martin Michael Charles Charteris, Baron Charteris of Amisfield and Hon. Mary Gay Hobart Margesson, in 1984.1
     From 1984, her married name became Charteris.1

Lt.-Gen. William Mark Wood1

     Lt.-Gen. William Mark Wood was born on 11 March 1817.1 He was the son of William Joseph Lockwood and Rachel Wood.1 He married Amelia Jane Williams, daughter of Sir Robert Williams, 9th Bt. and Anne Hughes, on 13 June 1846.1 He died on 18 March 1883 at age 66.1
     He was given the name of William Mark Lockwood at birth.1 In 1828 his name was legally changed to William Mark Wood.1 He held the office of High Sheriiff of Monmouthshire in 1847.1 He fought in the Crimean War, with the Coldstream Guards.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 67th Regiment.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Essex.1 He lived at Bishop's Hall, Essex, EnglandG.1
