Rachel Wood was the daughter of Sir Mark Wood, 1st Bt.1 She married William Joseph Lockwood, son of William Joseph Lockwood and Elizabeth Jekyll, on 13 June 1816.1 She died in 1874.1

Lt.-Gen. William Mark Wood was born on 11 March 1817.1 He was the son of William Joseph Lockwood and Rachel Wood.1 He married Amelia Jane Williams, daughter of Sir Robert Williams, 9th Bt. and Anne Hughes, on 13 June 1846.1 He died on 18 March 1883 at age 66.1
He was given the name of William Mark Lockwood at birth.1 In 1828 his name was legally changed to William Mark Wood.1 He held the office of High Sheriiff of Monmouthshire in 1847.1 He fought in the Crimean War, with the Coldstream Guards.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 67th Regiment.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Essex.1 He lived at Bishop's Hall, Essex, EnglandG.1
