     He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England^G.² He gained the rank of Group Captain in 1939 in the Royal Air Force.² He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1943.² He was awarded the Air Force Cross (A.F.C.) Greek.² He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1965.²

     Susan Margaret Casdagli was born on 7 January 1946.¹ She is the daughter of Reverend Emmanuel Casdagli and Edith Patricia Mary Seymour.¹ She married Michael Gilligan in 1970.¹
     She was adopted by Reverend Emmanuel Casdagli and Edith Patricia Mary Seymour.¹ From 1970, her married name became Gilligan.¹ She lived in 2003 at St. Anthony's, Rousden, Lyme Regis, Dorset, England^G.¹
