     Jean Barbara Hamilton was born on 6 September 1898.1 She was the daughter of Lord Ernest William Hamilton and Pamela Campbell.2 She married Sir John William Buchanan-Jardine of Castlemilk, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Robert William Buchanan Jardine of Castlemilk, 2nd Bt. and Ethel Mary Piercy, on 8 June 1921.1 She and Sir John William Buchanan-Jardine of Castlemilk, 3rd Bt. were divorced in 1944.1 She died on 2 November 1989 at age 91.3
     Her married name became Buchanan-Jardine.

General Hon. Sir Charles Stephen Gore1

     General Hon. Sir Charles Stephen Gore was born on 26 December 1793.1 He was the son of Arthur Saunders Gore, 2nd Earl of Arran of the Arran Islands and Elizabeth Underwood.1 He married Sarah Rachel Fraser, daughter of James Fraser, on 13 May 1824.1 He died on 4 September 1869 at age 75.1
     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)1 He was appointed Knight, Hanoverian Order (K.H.)1 He was Colonel of the 6th Foot.1 He was Lieutenant-Governor of the Chelsea Hospital.1 He gained the rank of General.1

Margaret Lindsay

     Margaret Lindsay was the daughter of Alexander Lindsay of Auchtermonzie, 7th Earl of Crawford and Isobel Campbell.1,2 She married James Ogilvy, 3rd Lord Ogilvy of Airlie, son of Sir John Ogilvy, 2nd Lord Ogilvy of Airlie and Jean Graham.1
     She was also known as Isobel.3 Her married name became Ogilvy.1 After her marriage, Margaret Lindsay was styled as Baroness Ogilvy.

     Sarah Rachel Fraser was the daughter of James Fraser.1 She married General Hon. Sir Charles Stephen Gore, son of Arthur Saunders Gore, 2nd Earl of Arran of the Arran Islands and Elizabeth Underwood, on 13 May 1824.1 She died on 17 October 1880.1
     From 13 May 1824, her married name became Gore.1

James Ogilvy, 5th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie1

     James Ogilvy, 5th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie was born circa 1541.1 He was the son of James Ogilvy, Master of Ogilvy and Katherine Campbell.1 He married Jean Forbes, daughter of William Forbes, 7th Lord Forbes and Elizabeth Keith.1 He died in October 1606 at Farnell, Angus, ScotlandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 20 March 1607, ordering his burial "in the Isle of the Kirk of Kynnell".1
     He succeeded as the 5th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie [S., 1491] before 13 July 1548.1 On 17 December 1549 James Ogilvy granted an annuity to his uncle, Thomas Ogilvy, out of the lands of Airlie.1 On 10 May 1560 he was one of the Commissioners who ratified the treaty of Berwick.1 On 8 May 1568 he signed the association in Queen Mary's defense, after she escaped from Lochleven. He was then imprisoned until King James VI took the government on himself.1 In 1596 he was sent as an Envoy to Denmark to assist at the coronation of King Christian IV.1 His last will was dated 21 July 1606.2

     James Ogilvy, 6th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie was the son of James Ogilvy, 5th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie and Jean Forbes.1 He married, firstly, Lady Jean Ruthven, daughter of William Ruthven, 1st Earl of Gowrie and Dorothea Stewart, on 11 November 1581 at Holyrood House, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, 'with great solemnity and triumph.1' He married by contract, secondly, Elizabeth Napier, daughter of Sir Archibald Napier, 7th of Merchistoun and Elizabeth Moubray, in 1613.1 He died between August 1616 and April 1618.1,2
     He was Gentleman of the King's Chambers on 15 October 1580.3 In 1594/95 he was declared a traitor for not answering the charge of resetting John Ogilvy of Craig.3 He succeeded as the 6th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie in October 1606.1

     Lady Jean Ruthven was the daughter of William Ruthven, 1st Earl of Gowrie and Dorothea Stewart.1 She married James Ogilvy, 6th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie, son of James Ogilvy, 5th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie and Jean Forbes, on 11 November 1581 at Holyrood House, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, 'with great solemnity and triumph.1' She died on 6 January 1611/12.1 Her will was proven (by probate) on 12 January 1616/17.1

     Elizabeth Napier was the daughter of Sir Archibald Napier, 7th of Merchistoun and Elizabeth Moubray.1 She married by contract, firstly, James Ogilvy, 6th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie, son of James Ogilvy, 5th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie and Jean Forbes, in 1613.1 She married, secondly, Alexander Auchmoutie after 1623.1 She died after 1 May 1623.1
     From 1613, her married name became Ogilvy.1 From after 1623, her married name became Auchmoutie.1
