Lady Elizabeth Amelia Jane Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound was born circa 1823. She was the daughter of Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 2nd Earl of Minto and Mary Brydone.1 She married Lt.-Col. Frederick Romilly, son of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett, on 28 November 1848.1 She died on 18 January 1892.1

Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 2nd Earl of Minto was born on 16 November 1782.1 He was the son of Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 1st Earl of Minto and Anna Maria Amyand.1 He married Mary Brydone, daughter of Patrick Brydone and Mary Robertson, on 4 September 1806.1 He died on 31 July 1859 at age 76.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Ashburton between 1806 and 1807.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Roxburghshire between 1812 and 1814.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Elliot, of Headshaw [N.S., 1700] on 21 June 1814.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Minto, co. John Grant, 4th of Freuchie was the son of James Grant, 3rd of Freuchie and Elizabeth Forbes.1 He married, firstly, Lady Margaret Stewart, daughter of John Stewart, 3rd Earl of Atholl and Grizel Rattray, before 19 February 1539.2 He married, secondly, Lady Janet Leslie, daughter of George Leslie, 4th Earl of Rothes and Agnes Somerville, before 8 March 1557/58.3 He died on 3 June 1585.3

James Elphinstone of Glack was the son of James Elphinstone of Glack and Elizabeth Wood.2 He married Janet Leslie in 1641.1 He died circa 15 August 1676.2
