     Lady Elizabeth Amelia Jane Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound was born circa 1823. She was the daughter of Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 2nd Earl of Minto and Mary Brydone.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Frederick Romilly, son of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett, on 28 November 1848.¹ She died on 18 January 1892.¹
     Her married name became Romilly.

     Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 2nd Earl of Minto was born on 16 November 1782.¹ He was the son of Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 1st Earl of Minto and Anna Maria Amyand.¹ He married Mary Brydone, daughter of Patrick Brydone and Mary Robertson, on 4 September 1806.¹ He died on 31 July 1859 at age 76.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Ashburton between 1806 and 1807.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Roxburghshire between 1812 and 1814.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Elliot, of Headshaw [N.S., 1700] on 21 June 1814.² He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Minto, co. Roxburgh [U.K., 1813] on 21 June 1814.² He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Melgund, of Melgund, co. Forfar [U.K., 1813] on 21 June 1814.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Minto of Minto, co. Roxburgh [G.B., 1797] on 21 June 1814.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1832.¹ He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Berlin between 1832 and 1834.¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1834.¹ He held the office of First Lord of the Admiralty between 1835 and 1841.¹ He held the office of Lord Privy Seal between 1846 and 1852.¹ He held the office of Envoy to Sardinia between 1847 and 1848.¹ He was the Governor at Royal Naval College, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Sophia Romilly was the daughter of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett.¹ She married Rt. Hon. Thomas Francis Kennedy, son of Thomas Kennedy of Dunure and Jean Adam, in July 1820.¹ She died on 9 October 1879.¹
     Her married name became Kennedy.

     Rt. Hon. Thomas Francis Kennedy was born on 11 November 1788.² He was the son of Thomas Kennedy of Dunure and Jean Adam.³ He married Sophia Romilly, daughter of Sir Samuel Romilly and Anne Garbett, in July 1820.¹ He died on 1 April 1879 at age 90.¹
     He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)¹ He lived at Dunure, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Lady Margaret Stewart was the daughter of John Stewart, 3rd Earl of Atholl and Grizel Rattray.¹ She married John Grant, 4th of Freuchie, son of James Grant, 3rd of Freuchie and Elizabeth Forbes, before 19 February 1539.¹ She died in 1555.²
     Her married name became Grant.

     John Grant, 4th of Freuchie was the son of James Grant, 3rd of Freuchie and Elizabeth Forbes.¹ He married, firstly, Lady Margaret Stewart, daughter of John Stewart, 3rd Earl of Atholl and Grizel Rattray, before 19 February 1539.² He married, secondly, Lady Janet Leslie, daughter of George Leslie, 4th Earl of Rothes and Agnes Somerville, before 8 March 1557/58.³ He died on 3 June 1585.³
     He was Baillie (steward) of Kinloss Abbey.³ On 25 October 1577 he was granted by charter the Parkhill estate, Fifeshire, following its forfeiture by John Leslie.³

     Lady Janet Leslie was the daughter of George Leslie, 4th Earl of Rothes and Agnes Somerville.² She married, firstly, David Crichton of Naughton before 11 March 1540/41.^2,3 She married, secondly, John Grant, 4th of Freuchie, son of James Grant, 3rd of Freuchie and Elizabeth Forbes, before 8 March 1557/58.² She married, thirdly, James Elphinstone, son of Alexander Elphinstone, 2nd Lord Elphinstone and Katherine Erskine, on 10 June 1589.¹ She died on 17 December 1591.¹
     From before 11 March 1540/41, her married name became Crichton.² From before 8 March 1557/58, her married name became Grant. From 10 June 1589, her married name became Elphinstone.

     Edward Newell Wead Steele is the son of Stanley Steele.¹ He married Patricia Ellard Gore, daughter of John Ribton Gore and Valentine Ansiebel Curran, on 5 September 1937.¹
     He lived at Sausalito, California, U.S.A.^G.¹

     James Elphinstone of Glack was the son of James Elphinstone of Glack and Elizabeth Wood.² He married Janet Leslie in 1641.¹ He died circa 15 August 1676.²
     On 2 June 1670 he succeeded his father.³ He was Honorary Burgess of Inverurie in 1671.³ He was Commissary for Inverurie in the Scottish Parliament in 1671.¹ He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court circa 1672.¹
