     From 31 August 1418, her married name became Gray.1

     Sir John Maxwell of Calderwood was the son of Sir Robert Maxwell of Calderwood and Sibella Carmichael.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Hamilton, daughter of Sir James Hamilton of Finart.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Stewart, daughter of Sir Robert Stewart of Minto and Janet Murray.2 He died in 1571.3

     He lived at Grafton, Worcestershire, England.2
