Rose Matilda Harris1

     Rose Matilda Harris was the daughter of Admiral Hon. Sir Edward Alfred John Harris and Emma Wylly Chambers.2 She married Francis Henry Carew, son of Reverend Robert Baker Carew and Augusta Elizabeth Daniel, on 19 June 1878.1 She died on 2 November 1881.1
     From 19 June 1878, her married name became Carew.

     From 22 October 1908, her married name became Stucley.

     Major Humphrey St. Leger Stucley was born on 7 June 1877.2 He was the son of Sir George Stucley, 1st Bt. and Louisa Granville.2 He married Dorothy Beatrice Rose Carew, daughter of Francis Henry Carew and Rose Matilda Harris, on 22 October 1908.1 He died on 29 October 1914 at age 37, killed in action.2
     He fought in the Nile Campaign.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Grenadier Guards.1 He fought in the First World War.2
