John Vereker1

     John Vereker was the son of Connel Vereker and Mary Godsell.2 He married Margaret Jessop, daughter of Samuel Jessop, in 1739.3 He died in 1783 at Limerick, County Limerick, IrelandG.1
     He held the office of Mayor of Limerick in 1769.1

     Sir Nicholas Osborne, 6th Bt. was the son of Nicholas Osborne and Anne Parsons.2 He married Mary Smyth, daughter of Rt. Rev. Thomas Smyth, in 1709.2 He died on 13 January 1718/19, without male issue.2
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Osborne, of Ballintaylor and Ballylemon, co. Waterford [I., 1629] on 10 October 1715.2

     Anne Osborne is the daughter of Sir Nicholas Osborne, 6th Bt. and Mary Smyth.1,2 She married Henry Vereker, son of Connel Vereker and Mary Godsell, on 15 October 1733.1
     From 15 October 1733, her married name became Vereker.

Charles Vereker, 2nd Viscount Gort1

     Charles Vereker, 2nd Viscount Gort was born in 1768.1 He was the son of Thomas Vereker and Juliana Smyth.2 He married, firstly, Jane Westropp, daughter of Ralph Westropp and Mary Johnson, on 7 November 1789.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Palliser, daughter of John Palliser and Grace Barton, on 5 March 1810.1 He died on 11 November 1842.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Limerick between 1794 and 1800.1 On 5 September 1798 he defeated French forces under General Humbert at Killala Bay, County Sligo, near Coloony.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Limerick between 1802 and 1817.1 He held the office of Lord of Treasury between 1807 and 1812.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1809.1 He held the office of Constable of Limerick Castle between 1809 and 1842.1 He held the office of Governor of County Galway between 1814 and 1831.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Kiltarton of Gort, co. Galway [I., 1810] on 23 May 1817.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Gort, co. Galway [I., 1816] on 23 May 1817.1 He was appointed Representative Peer [Ireland] between 1823 and 1842.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1834.1

John Westropp1

     John Westropp was the son of Mountiford Westropp and Elizabeth Bury.2 He married Mary Taylor, daughter of Berkeley Taylor, in 1734.2 He died in 1781, when he devised Attyflin to his cousin, without issue.2
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Limerick in 1745.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Limerick.2 He lived at Attyflin, County Limerick, Ireland.2

     Jane Westropp was the daughter of Ralph Westropp and Mary Johnson.2,3 She married, firstly, William Stamer before 1789.1 She married, secondly, Charles Vereker, 2nd Viscount Gort, son of Thomas Vereker and Juliana Smyth, on 7 November 1789.1 She died on 19 February 1798.1
     From before 1789, her married name became Stamer.1 From 7 November 1789, her married name became Vereker.

     Martha Rogers MacAdam is the daughter of Philip MacAdam and Elizabeth Stannard.1,2 She married Henry Vereker, son of Major John Vereker and Elizabeth Black, on 5 July 1865.1
