     Alexander Bruce, 2nd Earl of Kincardine was born circa 1629.¹ He was the son of Sir George Bruce and Mary Preston.¹ He married Veronica van Aersen, daughter of Cornelius van Aersen, Lord of Sommelsdyck, circa 16 June 1659.¹ He died on 9 July 1680.¹
     He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in February 1660/61.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Kincardine [S., 1647] in 1662.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Bruce of Torry [S., 1647] in 1662.¹ He held the office of Commissioer of the Treausry [Scotland] between 1666 and 1674, jointly.¹ He held the office of Extraordinary Lord of Session between 1667 and 1680.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) between 1674 and 1676.¹

     Grizel Cochrane was the daughter of Sir John Cochrane and Margaret Strickland.¹ She married John Ker on 18 February 1686.¹ She died on 21 March 1748.¹
     Her married name became Ker.

     John Ker married Grizel Cochrane, daughter of Sir John Cochrane and Margaret Strickland, on 18 February 1686.¹ He died on 27 September 1691.¹
     He lived at Moriestoun, Berwickshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Elizabeth Ker was the daughter of John Ker and Grizel Cochrane.¹ She married Thomas Cochrane, 8th Earl of Dundonald, son of William Cochrane and Lady Mary Bruce, circa 1721.¹ She died in 1743.¹
     Her married name became Cochrane.

     Jane Stuart was born before 1722.² She was the daughter of Archibald Stuart, 5th of Torrance and Elizabeth Myrton.^1,2 She married Thomas Cochrane, 8th Earl of Dundonald, son of William Cochrane and Lady Mary Bruce, on 6 September 1744.¹ She died on 21 May 1808.¹
     Her married name became Cochrane. After her marriage, Jane Stuart was styled as Countess of Dundonald on 9 July 1758.

     Archibald Stuart, 5th of Torrance was the son of Alexander Stuart, 2nd of Torrance and Isabel Nisbet.² He married Elizabeth Myrton, daughter of Sir Andrew Myrton, 1st Bt. and Jean Murray.² He died in 1767.²
     He lived at Torrance, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹

     James Murray, Viscount Fincastle was born on 7 December 1683.¹ He was the son of Charles Murray, 1st Earl of Dunmore and Catherine Watts.¹ He married Janet Murray, daughter of Patrick Murray, on 29 April 1702.¹ He died on 29 September 1704 at age 20, without issue.¹
     He was styled as Viscount Fincastle in 1686.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Macartney's Regiment of Scots Foot.¹

     Janet Murray was the daughter of Patrick Murray.¹ She married James Murray, Viscount Fincastle, son of Charles Murray, 1st Earl of Dunmore and Catherine Watts, on 29 April 1702.¹
     Her married name became Murray.

     Patrick Murray lived at Livingstone, West Lothian, Scotland^G.¹

     Brig.-Gen. Hon. Robert Murray was born on 7 January 1689.¹ He was the son of Charles Murray, 1st Earl of Dunmore and Catherine Watts.¹ He married Mary Halkett, daughter of Sir Charles Halkett of Pitfirrane, 1st Bt. and Janet Murray, in 1708.¹ He died on 9 March 1738 at age 49.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 38th Regiment.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wootton Bassett in 1722.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Great Bedwyn in 1734.¹
