     Elizabeth Bruce was born on 4 February 1872 at Springston, Canterbury, New ZealandG.2 She was the daughter of Murdoch Bruce and Catherine Polson. She married Henry Arthur Lloyd, son of Joseph Lloyd and Mary Stringfellow, on 25 April 1894 at Residence of Murdoch Bruce, Seafield, Canterbury, New ZealandG.3 She died on 27 September 1949 at age 77 at Warwick Private Hospital, Ashburton, New ZealandG.4 She was buried on 29 September 1949 at Ashburton Public Cemetery, Ashburton, New ZealandG, plot 3253.5,4

Henry Arthur Lloyd1

     Henry Arthur Lloyd was born on 16 September 1866 at Port Levy, Canterbury, New ZealandG.2,3,4,5 He was the son of Joseph Lloyd and Mary Stringfellow. He married Elizabeth Bruce, daughter of Murdoch Bruce and Catherine Polson, on 25 April 1894 at Residence of Murdoch Bruce, Seafield, Canterbury, New ZealandG.5 He died on 18 July 1930 at age 63 at Main South Road, Ashburton, New ZealandG, an intestinal obstruction as well as carcinoma in the colon.6,4 He was buried on 20 July 1930 at Ashburton Public Cemetery, Ashburton, New ZealandG, plot 3253.7,4
     He was a farm manager in 1894 at Mostyn Estate, Springston, Canterbury, New ZealandG.8 He was an auctioneer for N.Z. Farmer Co-op Association Ltd in 1900 at Ashburton, New ZealandG.8 He lived at Netherby at South Road, Ashburton, New ZealandG, from 1905 to 1908.9,10 He was an auctioneer & land and estate agent in 1908 at Ashburton, New ZealandG, After establishing a successful auction business on his own account, Henry sold the business to Pyne Gould Guiness Ltd after 12 years.8 He was associated with Murdoch Bruce, Jr. a grain and seed merchant, with H.A. Lloyd (grain and seed merchant) at Ashburton, New ZealandG.11 He was the head auctioneer for Pyne Gould Guinness Ltd in 1920 at Ashburton, New ZealandG.8

Frederick Bruce Lloyd1

     Frederick Bruce Lloyd was born on 25 March 1895.2 He was the son of Henry Arthur Lloyd and Elizabeth Bruce. He married Marjorie Alice Gamby on 14 January 1920.2 He died on 2 August 1980 at age 85.2,3 He was buried at Ashburton Public Cemetery, Ashburton, New ZealandG, plot 4515.3
     Frederick served in the Canterbury Infantry Regiment, 1st NZEF on 14 August 1915 as a corporal 6/2963. Frederick went to Egypt as part of the 6th Reinforcement..4 He lived at Francis Street, Blenheim, New ZealandG, in 1941.5 He was a stock agent in 1941 at Blenheim, New ZealandG.6 Frederick served in the 37 (Mixed) Battalion, 8th Infantry Brigade, 2nd NZEF on 1 January 1942 as a Troop Captain 50748.5
