Dorothy Port1

     Dorothy Port was the daughter of Sir John Port.1 She married George Hastings, 4th Earl of Huntingdon, son of Francis Hastings, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon and Catherine Pole, in July 1557.2 She died on 2 September 1607.
     Her married name became Hastings. After her marriage, Dorothy Port was styled as Countess of Huntingdon on 14 December 1595.

     George Hastings, 4th Earl of Huntingdon was born circa 1540.1 He was the son of Francis Hastings, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon and Catherine Pole.2,1 He married Dorothy Port, daughter of Sir John Port, in July 1557.1 He died on 31 December 1604.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Derbyshire in 1562.1 He was appointed Knight in 1565.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire in 1571.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicestershire between 1584 and 1587.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Hastings, of Hungerford [E., 1482] on 14 December 1595.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Botreaux [E., 1368] on 14 December 1595.2 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Huntingdon [E., 1529] on 14 December 1595.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Hastings [E., 1461] on 14 December 1595.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Moleyns [E., 1445] on 14 December 1595.3 He succeeded as the 8th Baron Hungerford [E., 1426] on 14 December 1595.3 He inherited Dale Abbey, Derbyshire through his wife.1

Francis Hastings, Lord Hastings1

     Francis Hastings, Lord Hastings was the son of George Hastings, 4th Earl of Huntingdon and Dorothy Port.1,2 He married Sarah Harington, daughter of Sir James Harington and Lucy Sydney, before 1586.2 He died on 17 December 1595.2
     He was styled as Lord Hastings in 1595.1

     Sarah Harington was born circa 1566.3 She was the daughter of Sir James Harington and Lucy Sydney.1,4 She married, secondly, Sir George Kingsmill, son of Sir John Kingsmill and Constance Goring.4 She married, firstly, Francis Hastings, Lord Hastings, son of George Hastings, 4th Earl of Huntingdon and Dorothy Port, before 1586.4 She married, thirdly, Edward la Zouche, 11th Baron Zouche (of Haryngworth), son of George la Zouche, 10th Baron Zouche (of Haryngworth) and Margaret Welby, circa October 1611.5 She married, fourthly, Sir Thomas Edmonds, son of unknown Edmonds, in 1626.4 She died on 3 October 1629.3
     Her married name became Kingsmill.4 From before 1586, her married name became Hastings. From 1626, her married name became Edmonds.4

     Hon. Caryl Digby Baring was born on 13 January 1880.1 He was the son of Alexander Hugh Baring, 4th Baron Ashburton and Hon. Leonora Caroline Digby.1 He married Ivy Firman, daughter of Humphrey Brooke Firman and Horence Adealide Cumming, on 28 November 1907.1 He died on 12 July 1956 at age 76.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Ferdinando Hastings, 6th Earl of Huntingdon was born on 18 January 1608/9.2 He was the son of Henry Hastings, 5th Earl of Huntingdon and Lady Elizabeth Stanley.1,2 He married Lucy Davies, daughter of Sir John Davies and Lady Eleanor Tuchet, on 7 August 1623.2 He died on 13 February 1655/56 at age 47.2

     Lucy Davies was born on 20 January 1612 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.3 She was the daughter of Sir John Davies and Lady Eleanor Tuchet.1,3 She married Ferdinando Hastings, 6th Earl of Huntingdon, son of Henry Hastings, 5th Earl of Huntingdon and Lady Elizabeth Stanley, on 7 August 1623.1 She died on 14 November 1679 at age 67.3
     Her married name became Hastings. After her marriage, Lucy Davies was styled as Countess of Huntingdon on 14 November 1643.
