Edward Blakeney was born in 1716.1 He was the son of Thomas Blakeney and Sarah Burke.1 He died in 1799.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 29 June 1799.1
He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He was the Private Secretary in 1748 to General Lord Blakeney, the Governer of Minorca.1 He held the office of Consul at Nice in 1755.1 He held the office of Commissary-General for the Army. He was granted a pension by the Secretary of State "for his valuable services to his country."1 He lived at Currando, Cornacuogh, Tyaquin, County Galway, IrelandG.1 He lived at 71 Newman Street, London, EnglandG.1 His last will was dated 15 March 1799.
