     Alfred Ashford was the son of Alfred Ashford.2 He married Lady Winifred Anne Grizel Cochrane, daughter of Hon. Douglas Robert Hesketh Roger Cochrane and Enid Marion Davis, on 23 September 1967.1 He died in 1981.1

     Miranda Daphne Jane Smiley was born on 19 August 1940.1 She was the daughter of Major Charles Michael Smiley and Lavinia Pearson.3 She married Arthur Francis Benjamin Guinness, 3rd Earl of Iveagh, son of Major Arthur Onslow Edward Guinness, Viscount Elveden and Lady Elizabeth Cecilia Hare, on 12 March 1963.3 She and Arthur Francis Benjamin Guinness, 3rd Earl of Iveagh were divorced in 1984.3 She died on 30 December 2010 at age 70.4
     From 12 March 1963, her married name became Guinness.3 After her marriage, Miranda Daphne Jane Smiley was styled as Countess of Iveagh on 14 September 1967.

     Major Charles Michael Smiley was born on 25 June 1910.1 He was the son of Hubert Stewart Smiley and Elsie Hope Gill.2 He married Lavinia Pearson, daughter of Major Hon. Bernard Clive Pearson and Hon. Alicia Mary Dorothea Knatchbull-Hugessen, on 15 September 1939.1 He died in 1991.1
     Major Charles Michael Smiley usually went by his middle name of Michael.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was Major.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1940, where he became a POW.1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.)2

     Lady Marjorie Gwendoline Elsie Cochrane is the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Douglas Mackinnon Baillie Hamilton Cochrane, 12th Earl of Dundonald and Winifred Bamford-Hesketh.2 She married Owsley Vincent Fydell Rowley, son of George Fydell Rowley and Alice Nina Corbet, on 1 June 1917.1 She and Owsley Vincent Fydell Rowley were divorced in 1932.1
     From 1 June 1917, her married name became Rowley.
