George William Massy was born on 12 January 1794.1 He was the son of Hugh Massy, 3rd Baron Massy of Duntrileague and Margaret Everina Barton.2 He married, firstly, Narcissa Smith-Barry, daughter of James Hugh Smith-Barry, on 28 April 1821.1 He married, secondly, Mary Jane Crosbie, daughter of Pierse Crosbie and Jane Maria Bateman, on 1 October 1834.2 He died on 5 September 1835 at age 41.2
     He lived at Bellmont, County Limerick, IrelandG.1

     Narcissa Smith-Barry was born illegitimately.2 She was the daughter of James Hugh Smith-Barry.3 She married Hon. George William Massy, son of Hugh Massy, 3rd Baron Massy of Duntrileague and Margaret Everina Barton, on 28 April 1821.4 She died on 9 January 1831, drowned.4
     From 28 April 1821, her married name became Massy.

     He gained the rank of Captain in the 44th Regiment.1 He lived at Hazelhurst, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
