     Ernest Cecil Nottage Palmer, 2nd Baron Palmer was born on 9 June 1882.1 He was the son of Samuel Ernest Palmer, 1st Baron Palmer and Amy Christiana Nottage.2 He married Marguerite Osborne, daughter of William McKinley Osborne, on 9 June 1909.1 He died on 6 June 1950 at age 67.1
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1905 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was appointed Associate, Institute of Chartered Accountants (A.C.A.)1 He was deputy chairman of Huntley & Palmers.1 He was vice-chairman of the Association of Biscuit Manufacturers.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Palmer, of Reading, co. Berkshire [U.K., 1916] on 8 December 1948. He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Palmer, of Reading, co. Berkshire [U.K., 1933] on 8 December 1948.2

Marguerite Osborne

     Marguerite Osborne was the daughter of William McKinley Osborne.1 She married Ernest Cecil Nottage Palmer, 2nd Baron Palmer, son of Samuel Ernest Palmer, 1st Baron Palmer and Amy Christiana Nottage, on 9 June 1909.2 She died on 13 September 1959.2
     From 9 June 1909, her married name became Palmer.2 After her marriage, Marguerite Osborne was styled as Baroness Palmer on 8 December 1948.
