     Archibald Stirling, 3rd of Garden was born in 1651.2 He was the son of Archibald Stirling, 7th of Keir, 2nd of Garden, 4th of Cadder and Mause Murray.2 He married Anna Hamilton.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Colquhoun, daughter of Sir John Colquhoun of Luss, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Baillie, in April 1677.1,2 He died in 1715.2

     Sir Matthew Stewart of Minto was the son of Sir John Stewart of Minto and Joanna Hepburn.2 He married Jean Colquhoun, daughter of Sir John Colquhoun of Luss and Christian Erskine.1 He married Janet Stewart, daughter of Archibald Stewart, 11th of Castlemilk and Janet Stewart.2 He died after July 1606 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2
     He held the office of Provost of Glasgow.2
