     Sir Ernest John Pickstone Benn, 2nd Bt. was born on 25 June 1875.¹ He was the son of Sir John Williams Benn, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Pickston.¹ He married Gwendolen Dorothy Andrews, daughter of Frederick May Andrews, on 3 January 1903.¹ He died in 1954.¹
     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1918.¹ He was Chairman of Benn Brothers, Publishers.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Benn, of Old Knoll, Lewisham [U.K., 1914] on 10 April 1922.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of London in 1932.¹ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.²
     

     William Wedgwood Benn, 1st Viscount Stansgate was born on 10 May 1877.² He is the son of Sir John Williams Benn, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Pickston.¹ He married Margaret Eadie Holmes, daughter of Daniel Turner Holmes, on 17 November 1920.² He died on 17 November 1960 at age 83.²

     Christopher Julius Benn was born on 27 November 1878.¹ He was the son of Sir John Williams Benn, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Pickston.¹ He died on 29 December 1879 at age 1.¹

     Captain Oliver Williams Benn was born on 11 July 1887.¹ He was the son of Sir John Williams Benn, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Pickston.¹ He died on 6 June 1915 at age 27, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 9th Battalion, Somerset Light Infantry.¹ He fought in the First World War.

     Lilian Margaret Benn was born on 7 December 1880.¹ She was the daughter of Sir John Williams Benn, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Pickston.¹ She married Cecil Eldred Hughes, son of Augustus Eldred Hughes, on 3 June 1905.^2,3 She died on 27 September 1953 at age 72.¹
     From 3 June 1905, her married name became Hughes.¹

     Cecil Eldred Hughes is the son of Augustus Eldred Hughes.¹ He married Lilian Margaret Benn, daughter of Sir John Williams Benn, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Pickston, on 3 June 1905.^2,3
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.¹

     Eliza Irene Benn was born on 26 February 1882.¹ She was the daughter of Sir John Williams Benn, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Pickston.¹ She married, firstly, Arthur Richard Pain, son of Arthur Cadlick Pain, on 7 December 1912.¹ She married Dr. Theodore Craig, son of Rev. Dr. Robert C. Craig, on 29 December 1956.¹ She died in 1974.¹
     From 7 December 1912, her married name became Pain.¹ From 29 December 1956, her married name became Craig.¹

     Arthur Richard Pain was the son of Arthur Cadlick Pain.¹ He married Eliza Irene Benn, daughter of Sir John Williams Benn, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Pickston, on 7 December 1912.¹ He died on 24 December 1940.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 9th Battalion, Somerset Light Infantry.¹
