     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.)¹ He lived at Eynsham, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He lived at Tong Castle, Shropshire, England^G.¹

     Frances Stanley was the daughter of Sir Edward Stanley and Lady Lucy Percy.¹ She married Sir John Fortescue, 1st Bt.¹
     Her married name became Fortescue.¹

     Hilda Margaret Workman-Macnaghten was born on 23 December 1868.² She was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Francis Edmund Workman-Macnaghten of Dundarave, 3rd Bt. and Alice Mary Russell.^1,3 She married, firstly, Henry Cecil Phillips on 14 November 1892.² She married, secondly, Richard Arthur Grove Annesley, son of Richard Grove Annesley and Sara Augusta Ruth Bolster, on 7 March 1907.¹ She died on 4 March 1961 at age 92.²
     From 14 November 1892, her married name became Phillips.⁴ From 7 March 1907, her married name became Grove Annesley.¹

     Venetia Stanley was born in 1600.² She was the daughter of Sir Edward Stanley and Lady Lucy Percy.¹ She married Sir Kenelm Digby, son of Sir Everard Digby, in 1625.¹ She died on 30 April 1633.²
     From 1625, her married name became Digby.¹

     Richard Francis Michael Grove Annesley was born on 2 September 1908.¹ He was the son of Richard Arthur Grove Annesley and Hilda Margaret Workman-Macnaghten.¹ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Anderson, daughter of J. Anderson, in 1931.¹ He and Elizabeth Anderson were divorced in 1939.¹ He married, secondly, Elsie Susannah Krige, daughter of Jacob Daniel Krige, on 1 July 1939.¹ He died in 1979.¹
     Richard Francis Michael Grove Annesley usually went by his middle name of Michael.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1941 in the King's African Rifles.¹ He was the manager of the mining section, Booth & Co. in 1951 at Africa^G.¹

     Francis Fitton married Katherine Neville, daughter of John Neville, 4th Lord Latymer and Lady Lucy Somerset, in 1588.¹ He died on 17 June 1608, without issue.¹
     He lived at Binfield, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Rt. Hon. Sir Francis Edmund Workman-Macnaghten of Dundarave, 3rd Bt. was born on 9 July 1828.² He is the son of Sir Edmund Charles Workman-Macnaghten, 2nd Bt. and Mary Anne Gwatkin.³ He married Alice Mary Russell, daughter of William Howard Russell, on 6 June 1866.² He and Alice Mary Russell were divorced in 1883.² He died on 21 July 1911 at age 83, without surviving male issue.²
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Macnaghten, of Dundarave, co. Antrim [U.K., 1836] on 6 January 1876.¹ He held the office of HM Lieutenant of County Antrim.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 8th Hussars.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)¹ He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1878.² He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles.²

     James Hay, 1st Earl of Carlisle was born circa 1580 at Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of Sir James Hay and Margaret Murray.^1,3 He married Lady Honora Denny, daughter of Edward Denny, 1st and last Earl of Norwich and Lady Mary Cecil, on 6 January 1608.⁴ He married, secondly, Lady Lucy Percy, daughter of Henry Percy, 3rd Earl of Northumberland and Lady Dorothy Devereux, on 6 November 1617, in the King's presence, but without her father's consent.¹ He died on 25 April 1636 at Whitehall, London, England^G.¹ He was buried on 6 May 1636 at St. Paul's Cathedral, The City, London, England^G.¹ He died intestate and his estate was administered on 20 May 1637.⁵

     Clarendon states that he had "no bowels in the point of running in debt, or borrowing all he could. He was surely a man of the greatest expense in his person of any in the age he lived... He had a great, an universal, understanding... He left behind him the reputation of a very fine gentleman, and a most accomplished courtier; and after having spent, in a very jovial life, above £400,000... he left not a house nor acre of land to be remembered by... he died with as much tranquility of mind as used to attend a man of more severe exercise of virtue."⁵

     Elizabeth Anderson is the daughter of J. Anderson.¹ She married Richard Francis Michael Grove Annesley, son of Richard Arthur Grove Annesley and Hilda Margaret Workman-Macnaghten, in 1931.¹ She and Richard Francis Michael Grove Annesley were divorced in 1939.¹
     From 1931, her married name became Grove Annesley.¹

     Cyril Raymond Heber-Percy was born on 23 May 1945.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. Cyril Hugh Reginald Heber-Percy and Diana Radclyffe.^2,1 He married, firstly, Heather Joan Cowland, daughter of John L. Cowland, on 27 November 1971.¹ He married, secondly, Ann Elizabeth Rowley, daughter of John Douglas Rowley, in 1988.¹
