     Peter Douglas Miller Stirling-Aird of Kippendavie was born on 13 March 1915.2 He was the son of Kenneth Aird.2 He married, firstly, Penelope Ann Stirling, daughter of Lt.-Col. Patrick Douglas Stirling, in 1942.2 He married, secondly, Lady Margaret Dorothea Boyle, daughter of Captain Patrick James Boyle, 8th Earl of Glasgow and Hyacyinthe Mary Bell, in 1973.2 He died on 10 July 2004 at age 89.2
     He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Major in 1943 in the Royal Artillery.2 He fought in the Second World War between 1944 and 1945, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.2 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He was managing director of R.A. Main Ltd between 1958 and 1962.2 He lived at Kippenross, Perthshire, ScotlandG.2

Sir George Arthur Charles Crichton and Lady Mary Augusta Dawson.1 He married Yvonne Avril Catherine Worthington, daughter of Dr. Harry Edward Worthington, on 15 July 1948.1 He died on 30 January 2002 at age 85.2
