Sir Henry Appleton, 6th Bt.1

     Sir Henry Appleton, 6th Bt. was the son of Sir William Appleton, 5th Bt. and Dorothy Hatt.1 He married Elizabeth (?)1 He died circa November 1708, without issue.1 His will (dated 30 October 1708) was proven (by probate) on 3 February 1709/10.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Appleton, of South Benfleet, co. Essex [E., 1611] on 15 November 1705.1 He lived at Shenfield, Essex, EnglandG.2 He lived at Jarvis Hall, Essex, EnglandG.2
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

     Elizabeth (?) married Sir Henry Appleton, 6th Bt., son of Sir William Appleton, 5th Bt. and Dorothy Hatt.1
     Her married name became Appleton.1 According to Collins Peerage, she was "a mean women, and, as I am informed, run out the whole estate, and departing this life about 1709, left a son, and infant, whose name I cannot learn."1

     Sir Thomas Hussey Apreece, 1st Bt. was born on 15 November 1744 at Leicester Fields, London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Thomas Hussey Apreece and Dorothy Wright.1 He married Dorothea Ashby, daughter of Shuckburgh Ashby and Elizabeth Hinde, on 15 April 1771 at St. James's, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 27 May 1833 at age 88 at Effingham House, Surrey, EnglandG.1 His will (dated 12 June 1830) was proven (by probate) on 22 June 1833.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Huntingdonshire Militia.1 He fought in the defence of Alnwick, against the pirate Paul Jones, where he distinguished himself.1 He was created 1st Baronet Apreece, of Washingley, co. Huntingdon [Great Britain] on 12 July 1782.1 He lived at Cranham Hall, Essex, EnglandG.1 He lived at Honington, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.1

     Dorothea Ashby was born on 8 January 1750 at Micklegate, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Shuckburgh Ashby and Elizabeth Hinde.1 She married Sir Thomas Hussey Apreece, 1st Bt., son of Thomas Hussey Apreece and Dorothy Wright, on 15 April 1771 at St. James's, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 26 December 1822 at age 72.1
     From 15 April 1771, her married name became Apreece.1
