     Rev. Hon. George Hamilton was born on 11 August 1718.² He was the son of James Hamilton, 7th Earl of Abercorn and Anne Plumer.¹ He married Elizabeth Onslow, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Richard Onslow and Pooley Walton.¹ He died on 26 November 1787 at age 69 at Taplow, Buckinghamshire, England^G.^2,3
     He held the office of Prebendary of Salisbury.³ He matriculated at Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 19 March 1735/36.³ He held the office of Canon of Windsor on 30 August 1783.^1,3

     Elizabeth Onslow was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Richard Onslow and Pooley Walton.^2,3 She married Rev. Hon. George Hamilton, son of James Hamilton, 7th Earl of Abercorn and Anne Plumer.¹ She died in 1800.⁴

     Lt.-Gen. Richard Onslow was born in 1697.² He was the son of Foot Onslow and Susanna Anlaby.³ He married, firstly, Rose Bridges, daughter of John Bridges, on 9 December 1726.⁴ He married, secondly, Pooley Walton, daughter of Charles Walton, on 16 June 1730.⁵ He died on 16 March 1760.⁴
     He held the office of Governor of Plymouth.⁶

     Lady Anne Jane Gore was born in April 1763.¹ She was the daughter of Arthur Saunders Gore, 2nd Earl of Arran of the Arran Islands and Hon. Catherine Annesley.¹ She married, firstly, Henry Hatton in 1783.^1,3 She married, secondly, John James Hamilton, 1st Marquess of Abercorn, son of Captain Hon. John Hamilton and Harriet Craggs, on 3 April 1800 at Dover Street, Piccadilly, London, England^G.^1,4 She died on 8 May 1827 at age 64 at Naples, Italy^G, without issue.^1,3
     From 1783, her married name became Hatton.^1,3 After her marriage, Lady Anne Jane Gore was styled as Marchioness of Abercorn on 3 April 1800.¹ From 3 April 1800, her married name became Hamilton.^1,4

     Hon. Catherine Annesley was born in 1739.³ She was the daughter of William Annesley, 1st Viscount Glerawly and Lady Anne Beresford.^4,1 She married Arthur Saunders Gore, 2nd Earl of Arran of the Arran Islands, son of Arthur Gore, 1st Earl of Arran of the Arran Islands and Jane Saunders, on 14 July 1760.⁴ She died on 23 November 1770 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.⁴
     From 24 July 1760, her married name became Gore.

     William Annesley, 1st Viscount Glerawly was born circa 1710.² He was the son of Francis Annesley and Elizabeth Martin.² He married Lady Anne Beresford, daughter of Marcus Beresford, 1st Earl of Tyrone and Catherine Power, Baroness la Poer, on 16 August 1738.² He died on 12 September 1770 at Clontarf, County Dublin, Ireland^G.² His will was proven (by probate) in 1770.²
     He was a barrister in 1738 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Midleton, County Cork [Ireland] between 1741 and 1758.² In 1750 he inherited his father's Castlewellan estate.³ He held the office of Sheriff of County Down on 23 November 1750.² He was created 1st Baron Annesley, of Castle Wellan, co. Down [Ireland] on 20 September 1758.² He was created 1st Viscount Glerawly, of co. Fermanagh [Ireland] on 14 November 1766. Glerawly was actually a clerical error for Glenawley (or Clanawley), a barony in west County Fermanagh.²
     Mrs. Delany writes of the Viscount and his wife, 'they are very rich and know it, and spend their lives in increasing not enjoying their fortune; but he is a very honest man in all his dealings, still would be more agreeable as well as more useful if he thought less of his possessions. His lady suits him exactly; she does not want sense, and is comical enough in a satirical way.⁴'

     Henry Hatton married Lady Anne Jane Gore, daughter of Arthur Saunders Gore, 2nd Earl of Arran of the Arran Islands and Hon. Catherine Annesley, in 1783.^1,2 He died before 1800.¹

     James Hamilton, Viscount Hamilton was born on 7 October 1786 at Petersham Lodge, Surrey, England^G.¹ He was the son of John James Hamilton, 1st Marquess of Abercorn and Catherine Copley.¹ He was baptised on 4 November 1786 at Petersham, Surrey, England^G.¹ He married Harriet Douglas, daughter of Hon. John Douglas and Lady Frances Lascelles, on 25 November 1809.¹ He died on 27 May 1814 at age 27 at Upper Brook Street, Mayfair, London, England^G.¹
     He was styled as Viscount Hamilton between 1787 and 1814.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dungannon between 1805 and 1807.¹ He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 24 October 1805.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Liskeard between 1807 and 1812.¹

     Harriet Douglas was born on 8 June 1792 at Morton, Galoway, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.² She was the daughter of Hon. John Douglas and Lady Frances Lascelles.¹ She married, firstly, James Hamilton, Viscount Hamilton, son of John James Hamilton, 1st Marquess of Abercorn and Catherine Copley, on 25 November 1809.¹ She married, secondly, George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen, son of George Gordon, Lord Haddo and Charlotte Baird, on 8 July 1815.¹ She died on 26 August 1833 at age 41 at Argyll House, Great Argyll Street, St. James's, London, England^G.³ She was buried at Stanmore, London, England^G.³
     From 25 November 1809, her married name became Hamilton.² After her marriage, Harriet Douglas was styled as Viscountess Hamilton on 25 November 1809. After her marriage, Harriet Douglas was styled as Dowager Viscountess Hamilton on 27 May 1814.⁴ After her marriage, Harriet Douglas was styled as Countess of Aberdeen on 8 July 1815. From 8 July 1815, her married name became Hamilton-Gordon.¹
