William Keith, 3rd Earl Marischal1

     William Keith, 3rd Earl Marischal was born in 1506.2 He was the son of Robert Keith, Master of Marischal and Lady Elizabeth Douglas.3 He married Margaret Keith, daughter of William Keith of Inverugie, younger and Janet Gray, before June 1538.4,3 He died on 7 October 1581.5
     He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Keith [S., 1451] circa 1527.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl Marischal [S., 1458] circa 1527.3 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland]3 He held the office of Extraordinary Lord of Session in 1541.3 He fought in the Battle of Pinkie on 10 September 1547.3 He held the office of Extraordinary Lord of Session in 1561.3 He held the office of Extraordinary Lord of Session in 1573.3

     Albrecht III von Hohenlohe-Neuenstein was the son of Kraft VI Graf von Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Neuenstein and Helena von Württemberg.1 He married Wandelbre von Zollern, daughter of Eitel Friedrich II Graf von Zollern, on 15 March 1507 at Rottenburg, GermanyG.1 He died on 19 August 1551.1
     He was a member of the House of Hohenlohe.1 He held the office of Canon of Strassburg between 1488 and 1490.1 He held the office of Canon of Würzburg between 1495 and 1503.1 He held the office of Canon of Trier between 1495 and 1504. He held the office of Canon of Mainz between 1495 and 1504.1

     John Erskine, 5th Lord Erskine was the son of Robert Erskine, 4th Lord Erskine and Isabel Campbell.2,3 He married Lady Margaret Campbell, daughter of Archibald Campbell, 2nd Earl of Argyll and Lady Elizabeth Stuart.4 He died between July 1555 and November 1555.5
     He was appointed Knight before 1510.5 He succeeded as the 17th Earl of Mar [S., c. 1115] on 9 September 1513, de jure.6 He succeeded as the 5th Lord Erskine [S., 1438] on 9 September 1513.1 He was Governor to the young King James V.5 He was Envoy to France in 1515.5 He held the office of Keeper of Edinburgh Castle.5 He held the office of Constable of Stirling Castle before 1525.5

     Robert Stewart, 1st Earl of Orkney was born illegitimately in 1533.1 He was the son of James V Stewart, King of Scotland and Euphemia Elphinstone.1 He married Lady Janet Kennedy, daughter of Gilbert Kennedy, 3rd Earl of Cassillis and Margaret Kennedy, on 14 December 1561 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG. He died on 4 February 1592/93.
     He gained the title of 1st Earl of Orkney.1 He held the office of Prior of Holyrood.1 He held the office of Commendator of Holyrood.2

Lady Janet Kennedy1

     Lady Janet Kennedy was born in 1542 at Kirkmichael, Ayrshire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Gilbert Kennedy, 3rd Earl of Cassillis and Margaret Kennedy.1 She married Robert Stewart, 1st Earl of Orkney, son of James V Stewart, King of Scotland and Euphemia Elphinstone, on 14 December 1561 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG. She died in 1598 at Orkney Islands, Scotland.1,2
     She was also known as Jean Kennedy. From 14 December 1561, her married name became Stewart.

Gilbert Kennedy, 3rd Earl of Cassillis1

     Gilbert Kennedy, 3rd Earl of Cassillis was born in 1515.2 He was the son of Gilbert Kennedy, 2nd Earl of Cassillis and Lady Isabel Campbell.2 He married Margaret Kennedy, daughter of Alexander Kennedy, in 1540.3 He died on 28 November 1558 at Dieppe, FranceG, from suspected poisoning by the French, while attending the marriage of Mary, Queen of Scots to the Dauphin of France.3 He was buried at Maybole, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.3
     He succeeded as the 5th Lord Kennedy [S., 1458] in August 1527.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Cassillis [S., 1509] in August 1527.2 He was educated at St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, ScotlandG.2 At Paris, FranceG, he studied under the celebrated George Buchanan.2 On 6 February 1540/41 he had a charter of the Fief of Cassillis.2 On 24 November 1542 at Solway MossG he was taken prisoner by the English.2 He became a Protestant, and went over to the English Party.3 In February 1545 he was released.2 He held the office of Extraordinary Lord of Session [Scotland] between 1546 and 1558.3 He fought in the Battle of Pinkie on 10 September 1547, where the Scots were defeated.3 He held the office of High Treasurer [Scotland] in 1554.3

Euphemia Elphinstone1

     Euphemia Elphinstone was born on 11 May 1509.2 She was the daughter of Alexander Elphinstone, 1st Lord Elphinstone and Elizabeth Barlow.3,1 She married John Bruce, 3rd of Cultmalundy, son of Lucas Bruce, 2nd of Cultmalundy and Christian Ruthven.3
     Her married name became Bruce.3 She and James V Stewart, King of Scotland were associated circa 1532.3

Alexander Elphinstone, 1st Lord Elphinstone1

     Alexander Elphinstone, 1st Lord Elphinstone was the son of John Elphinstone of that Ilk and of Pittendriech.2 He married Elizabeth Barlow before 1507.1 He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, EnglandG, killed in action.3
     He was granted certain lands in the territorial Earldom of Mar which were incorporated into the territorial Barony of Innernochty and later incorporated with Kildrummy (of the castle of which he was Governor) to create the territorial Lordship of Elphinstone.3 He was created 1st Lord Elphinstone [Scotland] on 14 January 1509/10.4 He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.3

     James Stewart was born illegitimately circa 1529.1 He was the son of James V Stewart, King of Scotland and Elizabeth Shaw.1 He died on 25 September 1557, without issue.1,2
     He was the Abbot at Kelso, Roxburghshire, ScotlandG.1 He held the office of Commendator of the Abbeys of Melrose and Kelso.2
