Matilda de St. Hilary du Harcouet is the daughter of Jacques de St. Hilary du Harcouet.1 She married Roger de Clare, 2nd Earl of Hertford, son of Richard fitz Gilbert and Alice de Meschines, before 1173.2 She married William d'Aubigny, 2nd Earl of Arundel, son of William d'Aubigny, 1st Earl of Arundel and Adeliza de Louvain, after 1173.1
She was also known as Maud.2

Robert FitzHamon, Earl of Gloucester was the son of Hamon 'the Sheriff' (?)2 He married Sybil de Montgomery, daughter of Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Shrewsbury and Mabel de Bellême, in 1074.3 He died circa March 1107, on active service.
He supported King Henry I in his acquisition of the English Crown against latter's brother Robert II, Duke of Normandy.3 He was accordingly granted by Rufus lands in Buckinghamshires, Cornwall and Gloucestershire that had formerly been held by King William I's wife, Matilda.3 He was a benefactor to Tewkesbury Abbey.3 Feudal Lord of Creully.3 He gained the title of Lord of Tewkesbury. He gained the title of Earl of Gloucester.1 In 1088 he was one of the Norman barons who after the Conquest who held lands in Normandy and England, where he supported King William II Rufus against the revolt of his half-uncle, Odo, Bishop of Bayeux and Earl of Kent.3 After 1088 he conquered Glamorgan, South Wales.3
