Janet Bruce is the daughter of William Bruce of Stanstill.2 She married Sir James Sinclair, son of Sir John Sinclair and Janet Sutherland.1

William Sinclair of Rattar was the son of Sir James Sinclair and Janet Bruce.2 He married, secondly, Jean Cunningham, daughter of John Cunningham of Geise and Brownhill.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Sinclair, daughter of John Sinclair of Ulbster and Katherine Stewart, circa 24 March 1642.2 He died after 4 May 1663.2

John Sinclair of Ulbster was born illegitimately before 1598.1 He was the son of William Sinclair of Mey and Margaret Mowat.1 He married, firstly, Jean Chisholm.2 He married, secondly, Katherine Stewart, daughter of Robert Stewart, 1st Earl of Orkney and Lady Janet Kennedy.2
