Robert (I) de Neville, Lord of Raby1

     Robert (I) de Neville, Lord of Raby was born circa 1223 at Raby, County Durham, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Geoffrey (VII) de Neville and Joan de Monmouth.1 He married, firstly, unknown wife (?)2 He married, secondly, Isabel de Bruce, daughter of Robert le Brus, 1st Lord Brus, before 13 April 1273.1 He died before 20 August 1282 at Raby, County Durham, EnglandG.1,2
     He gained the title of Lord of Raby [Feudal].1 He gained the title of Lord of Brancepeth [Feudal].1 He fought in the campaigns against the Welsh in 1257.1 He held the office of Keeper of Bamburgh, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Norham and Werk Castles in 1258.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Northumberland between January 1258 and November 1258.1 He held the office of Justice of the forests beyond the Trent in 1261.1 He was commander of the King Henry III's forces beyond the Trent in 1263.1 He was Captain of the defence of York on 12 June 1263.1,3 He held the office of Sheriff of Yorkshire on 13 June 1263.1,3 He held the office of Chief Justice of the forests beyond the Trent in 1265.1 He was Commissioner to hear the pleas of disinherited persons from 1267 to 1268.1 He was Chief assessor of the fifteenth (a tax) in Northumberland and Westmorland in 1275.1 He held the office of Keeper of Scarborough Castle in 1277.1

Geoffrey (VIII) de Neville1

     Geoffrey (VIII) de Neville was the son of Geoffrey (VII) de Neville and Joan de Monmouth.1 He married Margaret de Lungvilliers, daughter of John de Lungvilliers, before 1267.1 He died before 26 March 1285.1
     He fought in the Battle of Lewes in 1264, where he fought for King Henry III against Simon de Montfort.1 He was pleas of the forests beyond Trent in 1270.1 He was pleas of the forest in Cumberland, Northumberland, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire in 1270.1 He held the office of Governor of Scarborough Castle in 1270.1 He held the office of Chief Justice.1

Margaret de Lungvilliers1

     Margaret de Lungvilliers was born before 1252 at Farnley, Leeds, Yorkshire, West Riding, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of John de Lungvilliers.1 She married Geoffrey (VIII) de Neville, son of Geoffrey (VII) de Neville and Joan de Monmouth, before 1267.1 She died circa February 1318/19.1
     On 3 April 1285 she had writ for livery of of Hornby Castle.2

Ranulf de Neville, 1st Lord Neville1

     Ranulf de Neville, 1st Lord Neville was born on 18 October 1262 at Raby, County Durham, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Robert (II) de Neville and Mary fitz Ranulf.1 He married Eupheme FitzRobert, daughter of Robert FitzRoger, 1st Lord FitzRoger and Margaret de la Zouche, in 1282 at Warkworth, Northumberland, EnglandG.2 He married, secondly, Margery de Thweng, daughter of John de Thweng, before 1331.1 He died circa 18 April 1331 at Raby Castle, Durham, County Durham, EnglandG.3
     He was also known as Randolph.1 On 11 January 1283/84 he had livery under writ.4 He was created 1st Lord Neville, of Raby [England] on 24 June 1295.1 In 1303 he was chief of the delegation summoned by the King to set forth the grievances of the people against the Bishop of Durham.4 In 1313 he was found guilty of incest with his daughter, Lady de Faucomberge.1 He held the office of Keeper of the Peace in 1325.4

Robert FitzRoger, 1st Lord FitzRoger1

     Robert FitzRoger, 1st Lord FitzRoger was born circa 1249.2 He was the son of Roger FitzJohn.2 He married Margaret de la Zouche, daughter of Sir Alan de la Zouche.3 He died in 1310.2 An inquest post mortem was held for his on 29 April 1310.3
     He fought in the Wars with Scotland between 1294 and 1298, where he distinguished himself.2 He was created 1st Lord FitzRoger [England by writ] on 2 November 1295.2
