     Lady Victoria Catherine Mary Pole-Tylney-Long-Wellesley was born circa 1819.1 She was the daughter of William Pole-Tylney-Long-Wellesley, 4th Earl of Mornington and Catherine Tylney-Long.1 She died on 29 March 1897.1

     Sir Walter Long, 1st Bt. was the son of Henry Long and Rebecca Bailey.1 He married, firstly, Mary Cocks, daughter of Joseph Cocks, before 1627.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Cotes, daughter of John Cotes, on 2 January 1665/66 at Ludlow, Shropshire, EnglandG.2 He died in 1672.1
     He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn on 30 April 1611.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Salisbury in 1625.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wiltshire in 1626.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Wiltshire from 1627 to 1628.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bath from 1628 to 1629.1 He raised a troop of horse for the Parliamentarians.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ludgershall from January 1642 to December 1648.1 He fought in the Battle of Edgehill on 23 October 1642, where he was wounded.1 He held the office of Registrar of Chancery between 1643 and 1647.1 Between 1642 and 1647 he was an active member of the Parliamentarian House. However subsequently earned the displeasure of his Party, and so joined King Charles II in exile.1 He was created 1st Baronet Long, of Whaddon, co. Wilts [England] on 26 March 1661.1
