     Major Sir William Arthur Hamar Bass, 2nd Bt. was born on 24 December 1879.1 He was the son of Hamar Alfred Bass and Hon. Louisa Bagot.2 He married Lady Wilmot Ida Noreen Hastings, daughter of Francis Power Plantagenet Hastings, 14th Earl of Huntingdon and Mary Anne Wilmot Westenra, on 9 June 1903.1 He died in 1952, without issue.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Bass [U.K., 1882] on 1 February 1909.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Staffordshire.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 10th Hussars.1
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

Louisa Bagot, on 9 June 1903.1 She died on 25 May 1949 at age 68, without issue.2
     From 9 June 1903, her married name became Bass.
