     Robert Lynd Erskine Lowry, Baron Lowry was born on 30 January 1919.2 He was the son of Rt. Hon. William Lowry.3 He married, firstly, Mary Audrey Martin, daughter of John Martin, in 1945.2 He married, secondly, Barbara Adamson Parker, daughter of Albert Parker, in 1994.2 He died on 15 January 1999 at age 79.1
