     Sir Dennis Fortescue Boles, 1st Bt. was born on 6 September 1861.1 He was the son of Reverend James Thomas Boles.1 He married Beatrice Ringrose Lysaght, daughter of John Lysaght, on 26 July 1894.1 He died on 26 July 1935 at age 73.1
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Somerset.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, Devonshire Regiment.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Somerset.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Somerset in 1911.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Taunton between 1918 and 1921.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1 He was created 1st Baronet Boles, of Bishop's Lydeard, co. Somerset [U.K.] on 17 June 1922.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Somerset in 1923.1

     2nd Lt. Hastings Fortescue Boles was born on 21 June 1895.1 He was the son of Sir Dennis Fortescue Boles, 1st Bt. and Beatrice Ringrose Lysaght.1 He died on 24 May 1915 at age 19, from wounds received in action.1
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 17th Lancers.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Sir Gerald Fortescue Boles, 2nd Bt. was born on 19 June 1900.1 He was the son of Sir Dennis Fortescue Boles, 1st Bt. and Beatrice Ringrose Lysaght.1 He married Violet Blanche Hall Parlby, daughter of Major Reginald John Hall Parlby, on 2 June 1927.1 He died on 9 April 1945 at age 44, from wounds received action in the Central Mediterranean.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Boles, of Bishop's Lydeard, co. Somerset [U.K., 1922] on 26 July 1935.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 17th/21st Lancers.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

     Violet Blanche Hall Parlby was the daughter of Major Reginald John Hall Parlby.1 She married, firstly, Sir Gerald Fortescue Boles, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Dennis Fortescue Boles, 1st Bt. and Beatrice Ringrose Lysaght, on 2 June 1927.1 She married, secondly, S/Ldr. David Dove Carver, son of Henry George Dove, on 30 October 1945.1 She died in 1974.1
     From 2 June 1927, her married name became Boles.1 From 30 October 1945, her married name became Carver.1
