     Sir Robert Gordon, 1st Bt. was born on 14 May 1580.1 He was the son of Alexander Gordon, 12th Earl of Sutherland and Lady Jean Gordon.1 He married Louisa Gordon, daughter of John Gordon of Glenluce, on 16 February 1613.1 He died in March 1654 at age 73.1
     He gained the title of 1st Baronet Gordon, of Gordonstoun [Nova Scotia] on 28 May 1625.1 He lived at Gordonstoun, Morayshire, ScotlandG.1 He wrote the book The History of the Earldom of Sutherland.1

     Lady Mary Gordon was born on 14 August 1582.1 She was the daughter of Alexander Gordon, 12th Earl of Sutherland and Lady Jean Gordon.1 A contract for the marriage of Lady Mary Gordon and David Ross of Balnagown was signed on 21 February 1597/98.1 She died in 1605, without issue.1
     Her married name became Ross.

     Louisa Gordon was the daughter of John Gordon of Glenluce.1 She married Sir Robert Gordon, 1st Bt., son of Alexander Gordon, 12th Earl of Sutherland and Lady Jean Gordon, on 16 February 1613.1 She died in September 1680.1

John Gordon of Glenluce1

     John Gordon of Glenluce was born illegitimately, although later legitimated by Mary, Queen of Scots, after his parent's marriage.2 He was the son of Alexander Gordon and Barbara Logie.2
     He held the office of Bishop of Galloway.2 He lived at Glenluce, Dumfries-shire, ScotlandG.1

     Adam Gordon was born on 15 May 1613.1 He was the son of John Gordon, 13th Earl of Sutherland and Agnes Elphinstone.1 He died on 27 August 1634 at age 21 at Nordlingen, Germany, killed in action, unmarried.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Swedish Army.1 He fought in the Battle of Nordlingen on 27 August 1634.1
