     Simon Montagu, 1st Lord Monatgu was born in 1250 at Montacute, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He was the son of William de Montacute and Berta (?)1 He married Aufricia Fergus, daughter of Fergus (?).1 He married Hawise de St. Armand, daughter of Aumari de St. Armand. He died in 1317.1
     He was also known as Simon de Montacute.2 He gained the title of 1st Lord Montagu.
