Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) unveiled its partnership with Grand Casino Basel, a renowned land-based operator in Switzerland and the sole online grand casino in the region.
This marks GiG’s debut in the Swiss regulatory landscape, with Grand Casino Basel’s online platform, Golden Grand Casino, set to transition to GiG’s robust platform.
GiG recently introduced the X-Suite, a groundbreaking suite of iGaming solutions featuring CoreX platform, LogicX machine learning toolkit, and DataX for enhanced decision-making. This cutting-edge technology aims to provide agility, scalability, and revenue growth support for partners in regulated markets.
Switzerland’s online casino licenses necessitate a land-based counterpart, with only 10 licensed operators currently. Despite this limitation, the Swiss iGaming market shows immense growth potential, projected to expand by approximately 30% YoY, reaching over €440m GGR by 2024, as per H2 Gambling Data.
Having already facilitated the digital transition of numerous land-based casinos globally, GiG is well-positioned to drive online growth in Switzerland.
Andrew Cochrane, GiG’s Chief Business Officer, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the synergy between Grand Casino Basel’s established brand and GiG’s digital expertise.
Kai Laepple, CEO of Grand Casino Basel, echoed the sentiment, expressing confidence in the partnership’s success and the opportunities it presents in the burgeoning Swiss online casino market.
