Zira is famous with its tasty tomatoes in Baku. Also recently olive trees planted in settlement. The olive oil and table olive products processing plant "Absheron Olive Gardens" is opened in Zira.
Azerbaijani professional football club Zira based in Zirə. The club competes in the Azerbaijan Premier League.
