    Oxytocin
    A nonapeptide hormone released from the neurohypophysis (pituitary gland, posterion). It differs from vasopression by two amino acids at residues 3 and 8. Oxytocin acts on smooth muscle cells, such as causing uterine contractiond and milk ejection. (English)
