I've told this story before---
For my 16th birthday (1972), I was given a m16 helmet and a s98/05 bayonet by a family
friend who's husband brought them back from the war. The helmet was lost in
a house fire back in '79.
Last week I found and bought a nearly identical replacement. This is my first German
steel helmet sense I lost that one so many years ago. I am using the sellers pictures
as I have discovered that helmets are not all that easy to get good pics of.-- I hope Tony
does not mind.

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
I tried half the morning to get a good shot of my new helmet and this
was about all I could manage.
Lovely helmet Greg!
I am sure this one has special meaning for you. I can't imagine how elated you are to have finally replaced that one you lost so long ago.
I think a "little" more light will yield you a better photo.
Congrats!
Ralph.
