It is 02.40 AM in Torneträsk and the heavy 0-10-0 ore train steamlocomotive R # 976 of the Jernbanemuseum Gävle (Swedish Railway Museum), built in 1909 by Nydqvist och Holm AB (NOHAB) in Trollhättan for the Swedish State Railway, is ready for the departure to Abisko Oestra and finally Vassijaure with the about 1300 ton iron ore train from Kiruna. The train, organized by the Swedish Railway Museum Gävle in cooperation with the LKAB iron ore company, circulated on the "malmbanan" on the occasion of celebrating 120 years of operation. |
