Lasuni karelaBitter gourd (karela) is very good for diabetics. It has powerful antioxidant along with vitamin A and C which prevents premature anti aging. Even then some people avoid bitter gourd due to bitterness. Here is the recipe which I cooked with less oil and less ingredients. It has garlic flavour.

- 2 Bitter Gourd (karela) medium size
- 1-2 Tomato
- 1 Onion
- 8 -10 cloves Garlic
- 3 - 4 Green Chillies
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1 tbsp Mustard Oil
- 1-2 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt or as per taste

- Boil bitter gourd, tomato, green chillies, garlic and onion. After then chop and keep separate the bitter gourd.
- Then peel off tomato, garlic and onion. Make a paste with boiled tomato, garlic, onion and green chillies. Then add turmeric powder, cumin powder and coriander powder.
- Now heat a pan add oil and saute the bitter gourd. Then add the boiled mixed paste and stir-fry. Let cook for a few minutes. Finally sprinkle with cottage cheese (chena).
- Serve with rice, chapati or whatever you want. After boiling thy bitterness of karela will be reduced.
