International Distillers Ltd of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Jerry Thomas project of Rome have recreated Aybrook & Mason’s famed Arracks of the 18th & 19th century. ⠀ In those days Old Reserve stood the equal of Rum and Whisky and was known as the “father of mixology”. As a base for cocktails they are superb. On there own, in a snifter, they rival Cognac and over ice, make an interesting change from Whisky.⠀
