How to do you color in your bowl ..............
1. Under glazes: These are applied before the final glaze. They come in a wide range of colors and are often painted, sponged, or stenciled onto the bisque-fired bowl. Under glazes allow for more precise designs and patterns, as they don’t run when fired. 2. Slips: Colored slips (liquid clay mixed with colorants) can be brushed, poured, or dipped onto the surface of the bowl. This technique is ideal for achieving a matte or textured surface and is applied before the bowl is bisque fired. 3. Glazing: Glazes are liquid glass particles that melt and fuse to the surface during firing, creating a smooth, glossy finish. You can dip, brush, or spray the glaze onto the bowl.

Stencil trade secrets - I love this vinyl because it’s durable and retains its shape and flexibility even after many uses, it adheres to leather hard clay so nicely with just water! . . . #potteryprocess #potterytutorial #howitsmade #potterydesign #potterylove
