Born 1924 in Mission, TX, Tom Landry became a legend by leading the Dallas Cowboys to win the Super-Bowl while being their Head Coach. A bronze statue depicting his likeness is located in front of the Cowboys Stadium.
After an All Pro career and becoming a legendary coach with the NY Giants, Tom Landry became the first coach in Dallas Cowboy history. He lead them to twelve NFL Championships, five Super Bowls, while winning two. He revolutionized both sides of the ball: developing the 4-3 defense and formation shifting offense. He was a quiet and unassuming sort on the sideline in an era when the Cowboys became "America's Team".
