4.3K views · 440 reactions | Have you ever made Carolina pulled pork? Believe it or not, this was my first time! I usually prefer pulled pork with a sweeter flavor but wanted to try the vinegar-based taste for once and I was pleasantly surprised! I prepped the pork butt with mustard and Hog Rub from @rodneyscottsbbq and cooked it hot and fast on the grill over indirect heat with oak, cherry, and hickory until it reached an internal meat temp of 202 degrees. To add that Carolina-esque flavor, I heated up a mop sauce using the following ingredients: Apple cider vinegar Distilled vinegar Water Brown sugar Hot sauce Salt Cumin Onion powder Garlic powder Red pepper flakes Brushed the pork butt once an hour with the mop sauce and used the remaining to pour over the shredded pork. I’m kicking myself in the butt for not trying this sooner. You need to try it this weekend! #bbq #bbqpork #hotandfast #mopsauce #flavorful | Dan Phelps | learningtosmoke · Original audio

49K views · 1K reactions | Have you smoked a chuck roast yet? They’re cheap, easy and way more practical than a big ol’ brisket. Oh, and absolutely delicious. RECIPE ⬇️ Shopping list: 1 chuck roast. We went with a smaller one. Thundering Longhorn beef rub (Find at Walmart and Kroger) The Method: Set up smoker for indirect cooking and preheat to 285°F. Throw a bit of hardwood in there. We are using post oak. Generously rub down the roast with Thundering Longhorn. Place roast on indirect side of grill and smoke until it hits 165°F internal. Wrap roast in foil, finish cooking. Roast is ready when it hits 205°F internal. Pull. Rest. Slice or shred with hands. EAT 🥳 | Fire & Smoke Society | Fire & Smoke Society · Original audio
