Stage 5: Genève 16.85 km Timetrial

A final TT that would have been a bit more exciting if Thomas would have stayed a bit closer to Roglic*, 26 seconds is an almost impossible ask in 17 km.

Arnold von Winkelried of the day : Stefan Küng

Looks to be on form for this. Or maybe Primoz Roglic* makes a dubbelslag

Stage 4: Lucens - Torgon 107.6 km

Cold weather has dramatically altered the queen stage here. The final climb remains the same but the big climbs en route have been taken out so the stage is 70 km shorter than intended. Should make a more explosive final climb but smaller gaps perhaps.

Pompejus von Planta of the day : Primoz Roglic*

For someone who isn't here to ride for the GC he sure looks like a guy who's going to win the GC.

Stage 3: Romont - Romont 160 km

Not much rest on a day like this. Might be another hard day to keep a breakaway in check.

Pierre Victor Besenval de Bronstatt of the day : Sonny Colbrelli

This is probably the day they designed for Albasini.

Stage 2: Le Locle - Morges 174.4 km

A nice lakeside ride followed by some bumpy climbing and a sprint.

Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim of the day : Sonny Colbrelli

This has to be his day. Fire up the Daytona, Sonny.

Stage 1: Neuchâtel - La Chaux de Fonds 168.4 km

This is our sort of annual tour of the Swiss watch industry. La Chaux de Fonds and Le Locle are birthplaces a huge chunk of the industry and you pretty much can't chuck a bidon anywhere on this course without hitting one watchmaker or another.

Charles-Rodolphe Spillmann of the day : Silvan Dillier

Albasini will be the popular choice today but I'll go with the other home rider.

Prologue: Neuchatel 3.87 km

Swiss precision for you, you don't often get race distances measured to kilometers with two decimals.

Anyways, it's a good old prologue, less fun for TV viewers than the spectators in Neuchatel.

Theophil Sprecher von Bernegg of the day :Tom Bohli

He only lifts up his head here and there and this seems like a good place for it.

* He's a former ski jumper.
