Stephen Gaukroger, a pastor and author, will speak at the Forest Fire conference on May 11-12, 2012 about putting God first. The conference will explore themes from the book of Haggai, including focusing on God rather than material things. There will be sessions for adults, youth, and children. Childcare and a youth event will be provided so that families can attend. The goal is the spiritual transformation of the local community through supporting churches and encouraging unity.

Stephen Gaukroger has been a pastor, President of the
Baptist Union of Great Britain, is now Director of Clarion Trust
International, a prolific author and bible teacher both at home
and overseas. He is renowned for his ability to ‘unpack’ Scripture
in a warm, Spirit-inspired, practical and relevant way and has
impacted the lives of many people around the world. Forest Fire
is delighted to welcome him to the New Forest to help Christians
here to be equipped for whole-life missionary discipleship at home,
in the workplace, at leisure and in church. Stephen is married to Janet
and they have three children.

Children’s Ministry

To enable families to attend, there will be an exciting children’s programme.
SAT U RDAY 9.45AM - 1.15PM
For children in Years R - 6 there will be a fun-packed children’s programme. For those
in Years 7 - 9, ‘The Lounge’ will offer a place to chill, chat and game. A Crèche will be
provided for pre-school children. Bring a picnic (no nut products, please).
Children must be preregistered for these activities by 27th April 2012. To obtain a

Building upon the success of previous years, there will be a
special youth event.

Aimed at those in Years 7 -11, young people from across the
Forest will be able to connect up to enjoy games, worship,
discussion and teaching. A Tuck Shop will be open.

additional and more detailed training sessions as part of our
programme for 2012.

and heartbreaks of contemporary church leadership.

Forest Fire is a ministry of LEAF - the Local Evangelical Alliance in the Forest.

There is NO charge for Forest Fire 2012 - it’s free to get in and free to
get out! We will be taking an offering at each session and invite you to
contribute to the cost of the event as you feel able.

Forest Fire 2012 is being held at Brockenhurst
College, which is situated on the main Lyndhurst
to Lymington Road (A337) and 5 minutes walk
from the station. There will be ample parking.
