She is also the community moderator for Julia Turshen's Sundays With Julia, a weekly online cooking class, where she answers cooking questions and supports attendees while Julia teaches. Additionally, she has recipe-tested cookbooks for Julia Turshen (What Goes With What), Ambitious Kitchen (The Ambitious Kitchen Cookbook), and more, and has taught cooking classes.

Before recipe testing, she was the chef/owner of a to-go meal service called Valentine Kitchen. During culinary school, she was awarded the Marge Andersen French Culinary Scholarship, which goes to the top 6 students in the class and spent two weeks studying in France.

Before her culinary journey, she worked for a website design company for twelve years.
