IAQOS

IAQOS is an open source artificial-intelligence-based system that socially interacts with people in the informal environment of an urban district. Like other Artificial Intelligences, it feeds on data; unlike other Artificial Intelligences, the modality of data acquisition is relational rather than extractive. IAQOS, thanks to the active participation of artists in its creation and implementation, dialogues with the city and its inhabitants, with the aim of “feeding” on the narratives produced by the communities, and giving citizens new opportunities for relationship, reflection and interconnection.
The first pilot project happened in Rome. At the moment there are other two different IAQOS, in Bolzano and Ancona. From January 2021 it will also be in Milan and Barcellona.
