Abstract: Alkali activated slag (AAS) has gained huge attention in recent years due to its ability to replace ordinary Portland cement (OPC) as a binder in concrete. A need to replace OPC is imminent due to the high carbon dioxide emitted into the environment during its production. However, the use of this type of binder did not eliminate the huge strain placed on the deposit of natural resources. With the demand for concrete predicted to rise significantly in coming years, this means there will be a consequential increase in the amount of natural deposits of aggregates exploited, as aggregates make up about 80% by the volume of concrete. Therefore, in order to meet this forthcoming demand of sustainable concrete, and reduce the excessive strain on the use of natural aggregates, it is essential to find alternative materials that can be used as aggregate in concrete using AAS as a binder. This paper summarizes experimental results from various studies on the use of waste materials on aggregate. The fresh and hardened properties, alongside the cost and sustainability indications, are explored. It was drawn from this review that more reduction in carbon dioxide emission and cost could be achieved with the use of waste materials as aggregate in concrete. In addition, concrete made with AAS as a binder and incorporating waste as aggregate showed similar/higher properties with those made with natural aggregate. However, proper selection of types of wastes and replacement levels of these waste materials used as aggregate is still required to achieve enhanced properties.

Abstract: The development and expansion of tourism region is a complex phenomenon and it is necessary to be studied interdisciplinary. Nowadays, the development of tourism region in Baluran National Park increases rapidly. In this case, the growth and expansion of tourism region has a close relation with sustainability, tourist growth restrictions, and carrying capacity, three aspects must be concerned in managing tourism. The purpose of this research is to manage the sustainability of coastal tourism using carrying capacity concept. Based on the results, there are four coastal tourism activities which suitable in Baluran National Park, there are, beach tourism, snorkelling, diving, and mangrove excursion. Beach tourism in the recreation category with a total area of 92 ha can hold up to 9200 tourists/day, diving area up to 189 ha can hold up to 1512 tourists/day, snorkelling area up to 101 ha can hold up to 673 tourists/day and mangrove excursion with an area of 272 ha can hold up to10880 tourists/day. Thus, the total tourists per day for the coastal tourism is 22.265 person.

Abstract: This paper first analyses the advantage of coastal reclamation and its impact on the environment, finally proposed reclamation development mode of benign development which can provide the reasonable reference for the further research of reclamation. The article puts forward that exploitation should follow the principles of both protection and development. Through the full investigation of biological resources, wetland environmental carrying capacity of natural attributes, and huge demand and utilization situation of wetland and other social attributes of the reclamation, to analyze of wetland ecosystem service function, so as to accurately judge the reclamation suitability. Therefore, the reclamation is not only to meet the requirements of economic development, more attention should be paid to the protection of coastal wetland region.

Abstract: Ecotourism suitability evaluation is a relatively new field in the area of land suitability evaluation. There are numerous studies which focus on land suitability evaluation, yet very limited attention is paid to ecotourism suitability evaluation. Investigation and evaluation of ecotourism resources and the ecotourism environment are helpful for determining whether a particular area is suited for ecotourism activities, providing a theoretically reasonable basis for the functional division and activities in ecotourism planning, and a foundation for sustainable development of the ecotourism industry.

Abstract: The Mean-Shift algorithm has very good tracking effect when the background is in a simple; but for a complex environment, tracking effect is not very ideal. Therefore, a new gray feature modeling method is proposed in this paper. Firstly, target in the tracking window is uniformly divided into even pieces. Then the pixel gray value of each block is calculated with subtraction of certain rules. Finally, the gray value of gray difference and the whole object value fusion are fused and established the object model. The object model that established not only contains the whole gray value information, but also contains the gray value differences between regions, has a more accurate description of the target, and then distinguish target from background better. The experiment results show that: the target model using the method in this paper to track based on the Mean-Shift algorithm, has good adaptability when the target is partially occluded and has better robustness for complex background.

Abstract: Assessment of suitability of mortar intended for reconstruction based on their characteristics, namely basic, hygric and mechanical parameters, chemical analysis and frost resistance, is presented in this paper. Properties of the load bearing structure as well as natural factors were also taken into account in assessing the suitability of the used mortars. Comparative measurements with original historic plaster are done as well. On the basis of the experiments performed, it can be concluded that not only mortar properties but also environment conditions and technology of application as well as load bearing structure characteristics have a great importance to the service life of the repaired parts of historical buildings.

Abstract: Soil sampling was carried out on the experimental plot, and comprehensive analysis of characteristics of soil nutrient and physical and chemical environment based on the soil and water conservation monitoring site topography and vegetation etc., on the basis of present situation investigation. The plant selection analysis of different experiment plot was carried out combined with experiment village construction planning, and the plants by nature, on the basis of the different soil and water conservation monitoring sites have in common in Zhejiang province. Targeted put forward of the construction of the proposed plant and soil improvement measures, for each monitoring site experiment plot of provide the scientific basis for the establishment of soil and water conservation measures.

Abstract: In this paper, the author analyzes Shu Wang's works from several aspects such as saving resource, protecting the environment and reducing pollution, providing suitable interior space based on the definition of green building. The paper discusses the Green Building properties of Shu Wang’s typical works in both design and construction process and summarizes the corresponding ideas and methods of green architecture design. Relative to the use of high technique trend in the process of green building popularizing in China, the traditional natural method of design and construction is stressed.
