History[edit]
The Seventh St. Ives Lancers officially formed alongside the Sixth St. Ives Lancers in 2784, but their origins lay in an older command, the 265th Mechanized Infantry Division.[2] The 265th was originally a part of XLVIII Corps within the Star League Defense Force Seventeenth Army,[3] In 2775 the Capellan Confederation managed to woo a regiment's-worth of SLDF personnel away from the 265th and into service with the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces, and in 2784 those personnel formed the base for both the Sixth and Seventh Lancers.[2]
First Succession War[edit]
At the start of the First Succession War, in 2786 the unit was operating at full strength and was based on Spica.[4]At it's end in 2821 the command was operating at just below forty-five percent of full strength and was based on Helixmar.[4]
Second Succession War[edit]
At the start of the Second Succession war the unit had recovered most of it's operational readiness and was stationed on Alcyone.[1] The unit was destroyed during the war. [1]
