ABSTRACT Henry, a man trapped in a languid existence as a toll collector without a sense of ambition in Buffalo, becomes enveloped in a scheme to rob an area bank that leaves him with no choice but to take the fall for his acquaintances' actions. Released from prison after a year behind bars, Henry finds his purpose in life after having been inspired to do so by former cellmate Max, deciding to rob the very same bank he'd once been falsely accused of plundering.
