Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloweentown, orchestrates the town's annual holiday, though over time has grown bored with the task. During a forest wander he stumbles upon Christmastown, celebrating an entirely different type of holiday. He relays the discovery to the others, and together they plot to remake Christmas in a Halloweenish vision. Tim Burton at his best. Received an Oscar nomination for Best Visual Effects, and a Hugo nomination for Best Dramatic Presentation.
